C:\windows\system32\msr2ca.dll message comes up frequently on Windows XP machine.
The links which follow suggest a malware infestation. Unfortunately let one in and friends follow. Hi lynste,The file msr2ca.dll seems to be a malware or virus. You may follow these methods & check if it helps.Method 1a) Use the regsvr32 command to unregister msr2ca.dll.i) Click start > type in ‘cmd’.ii) Right click on cmd.exe and select ‘Run as administrator’.iii) Then type in ‘regsvr32 msr2ca.dll /u’ (without quotes) and hit enter.b) Restart the computer in safe mode & delete the file from C:\Windows\system32.c) Restart the computer normally & check if the issue persists.Method 2You may also run an online virus scan from the link given below.
